Does Halloween: The Game support crossplay?
Yes. The official Halloween: The Game account answered that crossplay would work across all available platforms, and IllFonic repeated that answer during its July developer Q&A. The same Q&A also referenced an in-game friends list, which is the clearest pre-release indication of how cross-platform parties will begin.
The confirmation covers the feature and its platform scope. It does not yet explain every operational detail, including account linking, whether crossplay can be disabled, input-based matchmaking, or how voice chat behaves between stores.

Crossplay vs. cross-progression
Crossplay lets people on different platforms enter the same multiplayer pool. Cross-progression carries account progress, unlocks, or saved data between platforms. Halloween: The Game has confirmed the first feature, not the second.
At roughly 29 minutes into the official developer Q&A, IllFonic said there were no current plans for cross-progression. That is stronger than an unanswered question: the pre-release position is that shared progress is not planned. It could change later, but buyers should choose a primary platform on the assumption that progress stays there.
