What is the single-player story mode?

The single-player story follows Michael Myers rather than a Civilian survivor. It begins with his escape from Smith's Grove Sanitarium and moves toward the events in Haddonfield on Halloween night, including his final pursuit of Laurie Strode.

The campaign is separate from the 1v4 multiplayer mode. You do not need four other players to experience the story, and its chapters are built around Michael's perspective, objectives, and abilities.

How the six chapters are structured

The story contains six playable chapters with new and familiar locations. Each chapter has a core objective, while the sandbox structure lets players decide how to stalk targets, use Michael's abilities, and move through dynamic environments.

Cinematic scenes connect the chapters and recreate story beats inspired by the 1978 film. The official material names Smith's Grove, Phelps Garage, Haddonfield, and the final babysitter encounter, but it does not publish a mission-by-mission walkthrough.

Optional challenges and unlocks

Every story chapter includes optional challenges. Completing them unlocks alternate outfits and other cosmetic items, giving players a reason to revisit chapters after reaching the credits.

Secondary challenges and in-game collectibles reveal additional lore, new executions, and gameplay scenarios, and can unlock exclusive multiplayer cosmetics for Michael Myers and Civilians. The story also offers multiple difficulty options.

The progression overview also promises a legendary reward for completing every single-player challenge. The exact challenge conditions and complete reward list have not been published, so no route should be treated as a confirmed 100% checklist yet.
